“Life is a near death experience.” on his 2008 post-Katrina album City that Care Forgot. The good doctor is in and his 
diagnosis: situation critical. His most political recording also has some of the best arrangements I’ve heard, his rhythm section always top-notch but the horn arrangements here are to die for, love especially the jazzy trumpet lines. Eric Clapton’s guitar always at the right place at the right time. Highly recommended, as good as his latest Locked Down produced by the Black Keys, and recommend earlier on this site.
