I can’t complain, but I do.

CORRECT IN THIS CULTURE

right thinking, thinking like us
us thinking we’re left looking
forward: our future, our children
ourselves, our bodies assuming
the correct posture, but not a pose
cameras are permissible, but only to gather
evidence, like us there is no more personal
scandal, just beating, abuse and aggression
showing there is strength, even in
incorrect numbers, correct numbers not
always winning numbers, but there is certain
satisfaction, knowing you are on the right side
right thinking, thinking like us, it is
a decade without soft edges, but there is still
no clear picture, everything is in a screen
pattern, everyone is trying to break
out of together, again thinking
right, to the end, of the correct line

HEY, DID THE WHOLE TEAM GET THOSE UNIFORMS?

When there’s nothing left to give
but up, don’t ask me to agree
with your smug and smiling fascist
face, friend. I’d as soon break it
open, to see the stinking authority
making you think you’re right.

Let me boil it down, make it
simple. If that’s what it looks like,
this side I’m supposed to be on,
I’m gone, and screw the waivers.
You’ve got nothing to convince me
anything looks any different
from the other side.
