The Mennonite Literary Society launches Rhubarb’s Mennonite Theatre issue on Sunday, October 27th at Sam’s Place, 159 Henderson Highway, Winnipeg. Doors open at 2:00, program at 3:00 featuring Steven Ratzlaff presenting a monologue from his work and actress Maggie Nagle reading from Patrick Friesen’s new dramatic work “crazy bone.” Both playwrights are featured in the issue guest edited by professor, editor, dramaturge and writer Per Brask. We anticipate announcing the winner of the Winnipeg Mennonite Theatre (WMT) one-act play writing contest during the afternoon.
Faspa follows the program including veggies, buns, cheese, sausage, fruit and Rhubarb Platz. All attending are invited to make an additional donation of $25.00 or more which will be receipted as part of our annual fall fundraising campaign.
