GUESS WHO IS COMING TO DINNER?

A (Dead) Mennonite Literary Society Fundraising Faspa Feast

Susann Floating

Mother floating in the ocean once upon a time. The lake, alas will likely still be frozen.

A unique fundraiser honouring our ancestors to see if we can  recognize them from your five minute talk. The Ultimate Mennonite Name Game.

Publisher Victor Enns will host and serve at his Willow Island retreat Sunday afternoon April 23, 2017

To attend, please register asap via email ([email protected]) as space is limited to 12 – yes this is a Last Supper of sorts, but promises to be inspiring and fun.

Bring a short (max 5 minutes) story/reading about or by your favorite deceased Mennonite person and don’t tell who it is – keep us guessing for a prize donated by the host.

This fundraiser dinner/evening will take place on the shore of Lake Winnipeg near Gimli and we will coordinate ridesharing to keep it fun and economical.

We are asking $100 per person to attend – all proceeds going to sustain Rhubarb.  Sponsoring a seat is another good idea.
Another Mernno way to help, teamwork – Four people each contributing $25 would sponsor one seat for a student or someone not able to come up with the $100 ticket price. The Mennonite Literary Society is a registered Canadian Charity and can issue tax receipts. Sponsors will receive the full benefit of their donation to the Society, those attending live and in person will receive tax receipts for $75.00, as $25.00 is the value of the benefit received by diners.
